John FOX Facing Walkerton Court Date For Child Pornography and Weapons

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (Project “P”), the OPP Technological Crimes Unit and the South Bruce OPP Detachment have arrested and charged a local man in a child pornography investigation.

On August 24, 2016 the O.P.P. Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the OPP Technological Crimes Unit and the South Bruce OPP Detachment arrested a man following a three week investigation. During a residential search warrant, a computer system pertinent to the investigation was seized.

Police arrested John FOX, 59 years old of Arran-Elderslie Township and charged him with:

Make Available child pornography contrary to section 163.1 (3) of the Criminal Code

Possession of child pornography contrary to section 163.1 (4) of the Criminal Code

Accessing child pornography contrary to section 163.1 (4.1) of the criminal code

He was also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code (2 counts)

The accused was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on August 25, 2016, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Ontario.
