Job Vacancy – Family Consultant, Crisis Intervention and Victim Support

The London Police Service is pleased to announce that we are hiring for the civilian position of Family Consultant, Crisis Intervention and Victim Support in the near future. Family Consultants work with victims of domestic and sexual violence and provide support to others who have been impacted by serious crimes of violence.

To qualify for this position the successful applicant should have the following assets:

QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

University Degree in Psychology or social work with preference given to those with a graduate degree.

Training in the counseling field.

Experience in counseling in a supervised setting.

Preference will be given to applicants with three or more years of experience, especially in crisis intervention.

Proven clinical assessment skills with diverse client populations.

Working knowledge of London and its community resources.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and families, often in stressful situations.
