Joanne Poag – Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday March 18, 2012 shortly before 8 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a motorist on Road 140 north of Perth Line 86 (east of Listowel). The odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath.

A roadside breath test was administered which the driver failed. She also failed two subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville.

The driver Joanne Poag (40) of Stratford has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. She is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on April 18, 2012 to answer this charge. She was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
