(MOUNT FOREST, ON) – On Thursday October 4, 2012 at approximately 10:17pm, County of Wellington OPP officers observed a 1999 Jeep with the right headlight burnt out. Officers stopped the vehicle at Main St South, north of Queen Street in the town of Mount Forest. While speaking with the occupants, the officers could smell the odour of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of one harvested marijuana plant, a zip lock bag of Methamphetamine, 2 bags of Ketamine, various tools believed to be break-in instruments, and .22 calibre bullets.
Jessy Stainthorpe, age 38 and Terry Spears, age 40, both from Mount Forest have been charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamines, Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Ketamine, Possession of Marijuana – over 30 grams, and possession of break-in tools. Stainthorpe was also charged with Possession of ammunition while prohibited. Both were held in custody for a bail hearing on October 5, 2012.
