(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) On Sunday, February 16, 2013, in the early morning hours, Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed a White Pontiac Montana van parked along the roadside with its engine running. As officers spoke to the female driver signs of alcohol impairment became very obvious.
Thirty-eight year old Jennifer ROOTE of Saugeen First Nation was arrested and charged for impaired driving and over 80, as well as several Provincial Offences. Intoxilyzer test results indicated a blood alcohol level over three times the legal limit. She is to appear in Walkerton Court on March 18, 2013 to answer to the charges.
