(LONDON, ON) – A male is facing a number of charges following a traffic complaint from concerned citizens overnight. On July 22, 2014 shortly after midnight, Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 402 by Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
When police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled from police and continued into the City of London. The vehicle was eventually stopped. The driver was arrested and transported to the police station for further tests. As a result of the investigation, the driver Jeffrey HAGAN, age 30 of London, ON was charged with the following:
Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood
Driving While Ability Impaired
Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin Under 1 gram
The accused was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a London Court August 12, 2014 to speak to the charges.
