(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On October 19th, 2014 at 1:12p.m. a concerned citizen observed a male party driving a motor vehicle while drinking what appeared to be a can of beer.
Police stopped the suspect vehicle on Highway 21 near Elizabeth Road, Town of South Bruce Peninsula (Allenford). An Approved Screening Device (roadside breathalyzer) was administered and the driver failed.
The driver, Jeffrey COCHRANE, 50, of Owen Sound, was transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment. At detachment, COCHRANE refused to provide a sample of his breath in order to determine the concentration of alcohol in his body.
COCHRANE was charged with fail or refuse to provide a sample of his breath into an approved instrument.
