Jeffery Vincent – Resist Arrest, Drunk Driving

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On February 16, 2013 at approximately 7:00 p.m. a gold Nissan Pathfinder entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program at the intersection of Stone School Line and Telephone Road. Officers spoke with the driver and detected he had been drinking alcohol.

A roadside screening test was completed, which the driver failed. The driver resisted arrest when officers tried to handcuff him. Officers were able to safely handcuff the male and he was transported to the Huron OPP detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to an Intoxilizer technician. Both tests were above the legal limit.

As a result, Jeffery VINCENT, 42, from Huron-Kinloss has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Resist Peace Officer. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 15, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
