(GODERICH, ON) – An impaired driver that veered toward a parked police vehicle was stopped and subsequently arrested. On July 15, 2012 at 3:30 a.m. a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling northbound on Wellington Street in Goderich caught the attention of officers. Officers were able to follow and stop the driver on St. Patrick Street in Goderich.
Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. Jeanette SCHOEMAKER, age 50, from Goderich has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol. She has a scheduled court appearance on September 17, 2012 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. She received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
