Jason Wilson – Sunday Afternoon Drunk Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Sunday January 27, 2013, shortly after 5 p.m., a Huron County OPP officer observed a north bound Jeep Wrangler on Perth Road 180 driving through the hamlet of Staffa. The officer observed the Jeep weaving in its lane and proceeded make a traffic stop to check on the sobriety of the driver.

While speaking to the male driver, the officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

Jason WILSON (22) of Huron East has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, and with driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquor. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on Monday March 18, 2013 to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has also been impounded for 7 days.
