Brampton – On October 24th, 2016, Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested a Brampton resident in relation to a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Trinity Common Mall located at 210 Great Lakes Drive, Brampton. The male victim was seated in his car when the accused entered the passenger side of the vehicle and made a demand for money. An unknown female entered the rear of the vehicle adding to the fear of the victim. He was forced to drive to an ATM where the victim withdrew $200.00. Once the money was turned over, the accused and female left the vehicle.
Jason MANDZIAK (Also known as Fat Jay), a 40 year-old Brampton resident was arrested and charged with Robbery. MANDZIAK will appear at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on November 24th, 2016 in answer to the charge.
Investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward, and ask any potential victims or witnesses to contact police. Police are further concerned that MANDZIAK is involved in obtaining money from trusting citizens by telling a sad story and promising to return the money by giving out his cell phone number.
