(HURON EAST, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the Huron County OPP Criminal Investigations Unit have arrested and charged a Brussels man following complaints that a male was sending inappropriate email messages to a 10 year old female on Facebook.
On November 21, 2012, police executed a Criminal Code search warrant on an address in the 400 block of Alexander Street in Brussels. As a result of this investigation, several computers, cellular phones and an undisclosed amount of suspected marihuana were seized.
On November 21, 2012 police arrested 38 year old Jason HUTCHINGS from Brussels. He has been charged with Luring a Child using a Computer, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order x4. He will appear for a bail hearing at a later date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
The investigation is continuing.
