(Bluewater, ON) – On June 11, 2011 at approximately 4:00 pm, Huron OPP officers investigated a single vehicle crash that occurred on London Road near MacDonald Road. Investigation revealed that the driver of the involved vehicle had fled the scene to hide at a friends’ house. The driver was located shortly afterwards and was arrested for impaired driving. He was taken to the Exeter OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath. The readings indicated a blood alcohol level over three times above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
As a result of the investigation, Jason CAMPBELL (30) of South Huron has been charged with one count of Impaired Driving, one count of Drive with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, one count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Fail to Remain. He will answer to these charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on August 25, 2011.
