(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On December 2, 2017 at approximately 11:25 a.m. Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a suspicious person regarding a male walking in the roadway in downtown Elora. Police located the male and arrested him for being intoxicated in a public place. He was transported to a local detachment for processing.
A search incident to arrest located some property on the male that still had security tags on it. Investigation revealed that this property had been stolen from two local stores.
58-year-old James SNOW of Harriston has been charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place, and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 29, 2017 to answer to the charges.
