(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – On Sunday July 21, 2013 at approximately 10:15am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers set up a R.I.D.E. Program in the community of Glen Allan at the intersection of Wellington Road 45 and Side Road 17. Police spoke with a male driver that entered the R.I.D.E. driving a 1995 Ford F150. It was determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Jake Steenson age 21 of Wallenstein has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 16, 2013 to answer to the charge.
