Jacob McConnell – Drunk Driving, Breach

On Sunday October 21, 2012 at 10:34 p.m., Guelph Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Woodlawn Road East, Guelph. Investigation revealed that a male was driving his vehicle northbound on Montana Road when he attempted to negotiate a left turn on Woodlawn Road East. The vehicle lost control, mounted the curb and struck a large tree on the boulevard. The two occupants quickly exited the motor vehicle as it caught fire and was engulfed in flames. The driver suffered a significant cut to the right side of his face and had an injury to his left hand. Guelph Wellington EMS treated the male at the scene. The 19-year-old male passenger was not injured. The driver was spoken to and was read the demand for an approved screening device. The motor vehicle was demolished and was valued at $10, 000. The tree received significant damage.

Jacob MCCONNELL 18 years of Guelph was charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Over 80, two counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a Bail Hearing.
