(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On October 21, 2012 at 9:01 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a Whitechurch Street residence in the village of Whitechurch, Huron-Kinloss Township. Officers responded to the scene and were confronted by a male brandishing an edged weapon who then barricaded himself in an outbuilding on the property.
On October 21, 2012 at 4:31 pm, the male was apprehended, without incident, by members of the West Region OPP Tactical Rescue (TRU) unit.
45 year old J. Allan SHEPHERD of Kinloss Township has been charged with Possess dangerous weapon, 3 counts of Assault police, 4 counts of Criminal Harassment, 3 counts of Mischief, 3 counts of Utter threats, Voyeurism and Assault with a weapon. He remains in custody with another court appearance scheduled for November 1, 2012.
