(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Tuesday September 20, 2016, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted by a rural property owner who reported the theft of aluminum pipes and a farm trailer from his property which is located along Road 140, north/west of Sebringville.
Investigation revealed that sometime between September 13th and September 20th, unknown person(s) entered onto the property and used a farm tractor or a heavy duty truck to tow away the trailer loaded with the aluminum pipes. There were approximately 80 sections of 30ft long, 6 inch diameter pipe on the trailer. The pipes had clamps on one end to hook the pipes together.
The trailer is an older green coloured farm trailer that was used for hauling/storing the pipes. The pipes, originally used as irrigation pipes, are now used for spreading manure on rural properties. The value of the stolen trailer and pipes is estimated at $15,000
Anyone having knowledge of the trailer’s whereabouts or information on the person(s) responsible is requested to contact the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). They can be contacted at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000
