Investigation into Death of Erin Howlett Includes Search for Victim’s Property

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Homicide Branch continue to investigate the suspicious death of Erin HOWLETT, 28 years, of Elmira, Ontario.

Investigators are attempting to locate property belonging to the victim, including a green Coach-brand purse, similar to the one in the attached image. The victim had this purse with her on June 27, 2013, the last known date that she was seen alive. Investigators would like to hear from anyone who has found, or has seen, a purse like this.

Investigators are also still attempting to identify the male seen pictured here as a possible witness and who may have important information. These images were previously released.

The investigation into the suspicious death of Erin Howlett was launched after her body was discovered in the Grand River, near Riverbend Drive in Kitchener on July 5, 2013.

To help ensure the integrity of the on-going investigation, the cause of death is not being released at this time.
