Investigation Into Attempt Theft Of Fuel

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday April 15, 2012, Perth County OPP officers were contacted by a Listowel Golf Course employee reporting the attempt theft of fuel from a bulk fuel tank at their maintenance building on Fairlane Rd. in Listowel.

It was determined that sometime on between Saturday morning on April 14th, and Sunday Morning April 15th, unknown culprit(s) attempted to use hoses and jerry cans to siphon fuel from the bulk fuel tank. A hose which was attached to the tank was cut but no damage was done to the tank. No fuel was obtained.

This was the second time culprits have attempted theft of fuel from the same location. On January 06, 2012, an unknown amount of fuel was stolen after the locked cap was broken of the tank. During this theft a snowmobile was used to gain access to the property.
