Intoxicated Woman Arrested After Throwing Knives, Stabbing Door etc.

Just before 1:00 a.m. this morning, police responded to a disturbance on Winterline Road in Dover Township.

A man and woman began arguing which escalated into a physical altercation. The woman grabbed a handful of knives from the kitchen drawer and began throwing them around the apartment. When the man locked himself in the bathroom, the woman stabbed the bathroom room door with a knife. The woman left the apartment for a moment but returned with a fire extinguisher and began banging on the door. She eventually re-entered the apartment and began waving a knife in the direction of the man and neighbour. The woman left again and began walking southbound on Winterline Road.

Officers located the intoxicated woman and she was arrested. The 32-year-old Dover Township woman has been charged with weapons dangerous and two counts of assault with a weapon. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
