Intoxicated Teen Mother Arrested – Toddler Spends Night At Grandmas

Date: Thursday, May 21, 2015 – 8:26am

On the 21 May 2015 at 826pm, a male was spotted staggering on foot all over the road on Bayfield St wearing dark clothing. The male was at risk of being struck by traffic heading north and southbound.

Police located the male and found him to be extremely intoxicated, slurring his speech and unsteady on his feet. The male was subsequently arrested for his safety and taken back to the Barrie Police Station to be held until sober the next day.

Moments later, a second officer on scene located another male in the same area acting suspicious by a local business. The male was investigated and also found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The male did not know where he was or where he lived. Police arrested this male for his safety and was subsequently lodged in cells till sober the next day.

Date: Friday, May 22, 2015 – 9:17am

On the 21 May 2015 at 917pm, police responded to a disturbance in the southend of Barrie. It was reported that a 19yrold female was out of control acting in a disorderly manner in the front yard of her residence. Police attended the address and found the female to be extremely intoxicated and uncooperative. The teenage mother was arrested for her safety and held in custody until sober. Safe arrangements were made for the toddler to stay at Grandmas house for the night.
