Barrie Police attended in the area of Ross and Dunlop Street after 9am this morning regarding a male who appeared to be staggering around in an intoxicated state. The caller was concerned that he was going to get hurt as he was unsteady on his feet. Investigating officer arrested the 48 year old local man for being intoxicated in public and he was transported into the station for his own safety. He will be released once sober with a Provincial Offences fine to pay.
