The following tips are offered to help internet user’s surf safely:

Use and protect passwords
Never post personal information. This includes your name, address, age and phone number.
Beware of online scams – if something seems too good to be true, assume that it is.
Don’t trust online strangers, it’s easy to pretend to be someone else.
The laws apply in cyberspace too. Threats, harassment and pornography are all against the law.

Parents and care givers are encouraged to be involved with their child’s online activities. If you aren’t keeping them safe, who is?
