Interest In Local Politics Spreads – Record Breaking Voter Turnout In Huron-Bruce

Interest in politics has not only hit an all time high in North Huron, it has spiked throughout the entire Huron-Bruce riding.

Voter turnout for yesterday’s provincial election was a pathetic 49.2%. This is the first time in history voter turnout has dipped below fifty percent, as apathy spreads like a cancer throughout society.

Huron-Bruce had an incredible turnout of over 60%, the highest in the entire province! While interest in politics has been steadily dropping across the entire province of Ontario, Huron-Bruce residents can be proud of their new dedication to democracy.

Sadly, 99.9% of people think that voting is their only duty in a democracy and will not engage in any political activity until the next election. You must be involved on a regular basis, or your communities and province will fall from grace as Wingham has done.

Bill Knott has demonstrated that one person armed with one question, can make a difference. Virtually the entire corporation of North Huron suffers from waste and corruption.
