Impaired Driving Offences Summary within Halton Region

On Monday, November 27, 2017, after 5:00pm, Halton Police officers investigated a collision involving an alleged impaired driver at the intersection of Northampton Boulevard and Headon Forest Drive in Burlington. Police charged Thomas Wilcox (56) of Oakville with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired driving over 80mgs.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

The Service’s Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
