(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 29, 2016 at 12:54 a.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle roll over involving two occupants on Bruce Road on the First Nation Territory of Saugeen.
Police arrived on scene to find a 2015 Dodge Journey, had lost control and landed in the ditch. A 32-year-old female passenger and 30-year-old female driver were cleared medically by EMS on scene. Neither sustained injuries from the collision.
The driver, Darcie NELSON, age 30, of Saugeen Shores, was arrested for impaired driving and care or control of a motor vehicle while over 80 milligrams.
She is required to appear before the Walkerton Court of Justice on May 19, 2016 to answer to the charges.
