On March 13, 2014 at 1:40 a.m., the Guelph Police observed a vehicle driving erratically. An attempt to stop the vehicle on Edinburgh Road North failed. A second police vehicle coming from the other direction also made an attempt to stop the vehicle but the car drove past that cruiser and turned down London Road. Vehicle speeds were reported to be between 30-50 km/hr throughout. The vehicle finally stopped in a parking lot on Norwich Street where the male driver was arrested.
A 31-year-old Guelph male has been charged with impaired driving; drive over 80 mg, dangerous driving and flight from police. He has been held in custody and will appear in bail court on March 13, 2014.
