Impaired Driver Arrested In Damaged and Muddy Rental Vehicle

On the 14th of April 2016, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Sundew Drive and Walking Fern Court, in the city of Waterloo to investigate a vehicle involved in a personal injury collision. Responding officers located two males, with a rented 2016 GMC Yukon, which was covered in mud and had extensive damage. The driver, a 28 year old Kitchener male was arrested for Impaired Driving. He was transported to Grand River Hospital with non life threatening injuries. He has been charged with Impaired Driving and Refuse to Provide Breath Sample. The passenger was also transported to Grand River Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Members of the Traffic Services Unit are continuing to investigate this matter.
