Impaired Driver

On Friday evening police were called to the area of a Mapleview Avenue East and Bayview Avenue gas station in regards to a suspected intoxicated male filling up his vehicle. Prior to police arrival this male drove off and managed to proceed northbound on Highway 400. Several more calls were received regarding this impaired driver. He was located at the Duckworth Street exit where he was stopped and investigated. A 53 year Toronto resident was arrested and taken into custody. The accused provided two samples of breath that were in excess of three times the legal limit. The accused was charged with Impaired, Over 80mgs, Drive Disqualified and Fail to Comply Probation. He will be released when he is sober.
