A 45 year old Barrie resident is presently in custody this afternoon on charges of impaired driving and driving while over 80mgs. Just prior to 1pm, the male attended a north Bayfield St. retail outlet, while in the store another customer noticed him to be drunk and observed the male leave the store and drive away in a vehicle. The police were called, the male and vehicle were located a short distance away in the lot of a liquor store. The male was arrested and taken to the station where he provided breath samples in excess of 220mgs.
