(FOREST, ON)- On June 9, 2016 at approximately 11:50 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended King Street (21 Highway) between Arthur and Gore Streets to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation revealed that at this time a four door sedan was travelling east bound on King Street when it suddenly left the roadway, entered onto a portion of the boulevard striking a hydro pole. The pole was sheared in half and remained somewhat upright due to the guide and hydro lines.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and the lone driver, a twenty year old female was transported to hospital with minor injuries. It is anticipated that King Street between Gore and Arthur Streets will be closed and re- routed until approximately 5:00 p.m. while hydro crews repair the damaged pole.
The investigation is ongoing.
