(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 19-year-old female driver in relation to a head-on crash that took place yesterday afternoon east of Listowel.
Just before 2:30 p.m. a Chevrolet Cruze was travelling eastbound on Perth Line 86 when the driver of the Cruze attempted to make a pass. The driver entered into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Matrix.
The 68-year-old male driver of the Toyota Matrix and a 69-year-old female passenger both from Wellington North remain in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, 19-year-old Kayla DOWNS from Kitchener sustained minor injuries. She has since been charged with Careless Driving. She has a court appearance scheduled for Provincial Offences Act court in Stratford on September 5, 2017.
