Hwy 86 Collision Near Listowel Sends Three To Hospitals

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Monday January 9, 2017 shortly before 11:30 a.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth Fire Department and paramedics responded to a collision between a loader tractor and a car on Line 86 in the Municipality of North Perth. This occurred between Road 171 and Road 172, west of the Town of Listowel.

The 60 year-old male driver of the loader tractor, from North Perth, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The 59 year-old female driver of the car, from Cambridge, was taken to a London area hospital with serious injuries. The 43 year-old passenger in the car, from North Huron, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Line 86 was reopened shortly before 1:00 p.m. this same date.

The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided when they become available.
