Hwy 21 Collision Update – Owen Sound Resident Released From Hospital

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – The motorcycle rider, a 55-year old male from Owen Sound, has been released from hospital. On Monday, June 6, 2016 he was riding his 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Hwy. 21 west of Grey Rd. 3 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs when he collided with a deer.

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a collision on Hwy. 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs after a deer collided with a motorcycle.

At approximately 1:25 p.m. this afternoon, June 6, 2016, a motorcycle was travelling westbound on Hwy. 21 when a deer emerged from the north ditch and ran into the path of the motorcycle. The male rider was transported to hospital in Owen Sound and is expected to be air-lifted to a hospital in London. He is listed in critical condition.

The deer was dispatched at the scene.

Hwy. 21 between Grey Rd. 3 west to Concession 11 is closed for emergency responders and is expected to remain closed for another 2 hours (approximately).
