Hwy 21 Collision Sends Two To Hospital – 81 Year Old Charged

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 26, 2016 at 4:06 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Bruce County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Tara-Arran Fire Department received a call regarding a two vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 21 Highway and Bruce Road 14, in the Municipality of South Bruce Peninsula.

Police investigation revealed a blue Toyota Rav turned east bound from Bruce Road 14 onto 21 Highway; when it collided with a blue Ford Edge driving westbound on 21 Highway.

The lone 61-year-old female driver of the blue Ford Edge was transported to a local hospital and release with minor injuries.

The lone 81-year-old female driver of the Blue Toyota Rav was also transported to a local hospital and released with minor injuries. She has been charged for Improper Left Turn, under the Highway Traffic Act.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
