(ALLENFORD, ON) – On November 17, 2015, at 7:21 a.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police received a call of a motor vehicle which collided into a residence located near Highway 21, Allenford, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. OPP attended alongside the Tara-Arran Fire Department and the Bruce County Emergency Medical Services
Police investigation has revealed a 2002 blue mini was driving west bound along Highway 21 when a 55-year-old male driver lost control. The vehicle collided into the north east wall of the residence. The male driver and a female passenger were extricated from the back of the mini-van and were transported to a local hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
During the time of the collision, it was reported the home owner was in the residence and was not injured.
Extensive damage was obtained to the residence as well as the mini-van. Total cost of damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is continuing.
Highway 21 was closed for one hour. Highway 21 has been re-opened.
