Household Hazardous Waste Walkerton Collection – May 26

When in doubt, don’t throw it out! Help keep environmental contaminants out of our landfills and waterways. You can clean out your house, garage, and basement and remove hazardous and special waste materials and dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner at no cost with Bruce County’s Household Hazardous and Special Waste Collection program

The County of Bruce will be conducting 2018 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events throughout the County. The 2018 locations in, or around, Brockton include:

Walkerton – Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Bruce County Highways Garage, 94 County Road 2

Walkerton – Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Bruce County Highways Garage, 94 County Road 2

Please Note: Commercial, agricultural, industrial waste, PCB’s, or radioactive waste will not be accepted. Only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted. Waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of as containers are not emptied and returned (ie. gas cans). Empty metal paint cans are blue box recyclable.
