Homicide Update – Composite Sketch Released, Do You Know This Person?

Waterloo Region, Ontario– Waterloo Regional Police Service continue to investigate the homicide of Michael Gibbon.

As a result of information received from the public, police are looking to identify this male, who may have information to assist investigators. It is believed he was in the area of Margaret Avenue the morning of Monday October 5, 2015.

This individual is described as: male, with an olive complexion, 6’ tall, 40 to 50 years old, muscular build, dark eyes, bushy dark eyebrows, larger nose, and longer dark hair past his ears. He was wearing khaki pants, a dark shirt, hiker style shoes and carrying a dark colored back-pack.

Anyone with information to assist in the identity of this male is asked to call the Waterloo Regional Police Service Homicide Branch at (519) 650-8500 ext. 8666 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

The motivation for this attack is unknown and police are not ruling out any possibility. Therefore, the risk to public safety is not known. The public should remain vigilant, be aware of their surroundings and are asked to report any suspicious activity to police.
