On July 29, 2013, investigators probing the suspicious death of Erin Howlett released the photos of two unknown individuals along with an appeal to the community for information pertaining to their identity.
Investigators were pursuing a lead that the male and female pictured could have some important information to assist the on-going investigation.
The female was later identified and it was determined she had no involvement.
As a result of the continuing investigation, the still unidentified male, has been determined by detectives to have had no involvement and is no longer considered a possible witness. Police therefore ask all media outlets to remove his photos.
The investigation into the suspicious death of Erin Howlett, 28 years of Elmira,was launched after her body was discovered in the Grand River, near Riverbend Drive in Kitchener on July 5, 2013.
The circumstances surrounding the suspicious death remain under investigation. As well, investigators continue to appeal for any information pertaining to a green Coach-brand purse belonging to the victim.
