The York Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating and seeking witnesses after a body was found in the City of Markham.
On Monday, November 7, 2016, at approximately 5:40 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a report of a man lying on the side of the road on Old Kennedy Road just north of Steeles Ave. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation due to the nature of the injuries.
The victim has not yet been identified.
Investigators are asking any witnesses or anyone with information on this incident to please come forward.
