On November 24, 2015 members of the Guelph Police Service Neighbourhood Services and Investigative Services are began a homicide investigation at a residence at the Village by the Arboretum on Stone Road East. An adult Guelph male has been arrested and charged with 1st degree murder in relation to the death of his spouse. He has been detained in custody pending a bail hearing at Guelph Provincial Court on November 25, 2015. No further information will be released at this time other than reassure the community that there is no risk to public safety with regard to this investigation.
