Homicide In Owen Sound – Victim Name Released

(OWEN SOUND, ON) On Thursday January 22, 2015, officers from the Owen Sound Police Service attended a residence located on 2nd Avenue West in the City of Owen Sound where the lifeless body of a female was located.

An investigation was commenced by Owen Sound Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch and is continuing under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector David Robinson of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

A post mortem examination was conducted yesterday at the University Hospital located‎ in London Ontario and it has been confirmed that 28-year old Lezleigh HOPKINS was a victim of homicide.

Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation specific details cannot be released at this time and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
