Home Invasion – Thugs Break Senior’s Jaw and Steal Cash

On Sunday the 4th of August 2013 at approximately 7:30PM, four male suspects approached a home in the Edgehill Drive and Ferndale Drive area of the city and knocked on the door. The 66 year old male resident answered and the males pushed their way in looking for the resident’s son who was not home.

The suspects insinuated that they were police officers but did not show identification. They began to search the premises looking for the son and for something of value. When the resident objected he was struck in the face with a hard object. The males eventually fled the home with a quantity of cash.

The police were called and the resident was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken jaw. The suspects are described as all white males in their late 20’s or early 30’s. Investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Barrie Police or Crime Stoppers.
