On December 31, 2015, at 12:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Rodgers Road residence to investigate the report of a break and enter. Investigation alleges that two male’s wearing disguises confronted the residents within the dwelling. The residents were confined to an area of the home while the males went through rooms. The males are described as non-white, in their twenties, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing dark coloured hoodies, dark jeans, and bandanas covering their faces. No injuries are reported. This incident appears to be a targeted entry. The investigation is ongoing.

Two vehicle collision
On December 30, 2015 at 4:17 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Gordon Street and Fountain Street. It is alleged that a Honda Civic travelling north on Gordon Street struck a Nissan Altima that had been turning left from Fountain Street onto Gordon. The driver of the Nissan was taken to Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries. Damage estimates to the vehicles total $30,000.
The driver of the Honda, a 19-year-old Thornhill female has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with red light – fail to stop.
