Home Invader Sexually Assaults Young Female – 22 Year Old From Waterloo Arrested – Name Released

UPDATE: arrest made in Flamborough Home Invasion/Sexual Assault

As a result of a media release and composite drawing distributed to the public on May 26th and 27th, 2016, police continued their investigation into the home invasion and sexual assault involving a young female resident in Flamborough.

On December 15th, 2016 the Hamilton Police Service, Child Abuse Unit arrested Grant LITT. He is presently in custody pending a bail hearing.

Charged: Grant LITT (22 years), Waterloo, ON

Charges: Break and Enter Commit Sexual Assault

BACKGROUND

On Wednesday May 25, 2016 at approximately 4:00pm, Hamilton Police responded to a residence in the area of Highway 6 and Gore Road, Flamborough, after receiving a 9-1-1 call to a report that an unknown man had just knocked on the door of a home, forced his way inside and sexually assaulted a young female resident.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Branch have been assigned to this investigation and have spoken to a number of witnesses. Detectives are encouraging anyone with information or any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time of the incident to call police.

Detectives will continue to update the community as their investigation into this incident continues and more information becomes available.
