(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a rather rare theft of animal livestock. A one week old Holstein calf and two bags of feed were stolen earlier this week from a Newry Road farm.
Police learned the one week old calf was stolen from an outdoor wire pen enclosure sometime between 8:30 p.m. on May 5, 2015 and 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2015. Also stolen were two 50 pound bags of Listowel Farm Supply starter feed valued at $50.
The stolen Holstein calf is black & white and it weighs between 80 to 90 pounds. The calf is valued at approximately $425.
