(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On March 17, 2016 at approximately 3:28 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling on Richmond Street, near Saintsbury Line.
Officers located the motor vehicle, a blue Lincoln sport utility vehicle (SUV), and conducted a traffic stop on Alice Street, near Main Street. They determined that the female driver had been drinking alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests.
As a result of the police investigation, 37-year-old Jackie HOFFMAN, from Thames Centre, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on April 26, 2016.
