Hit and run investigation – seeking to identify male suspect and witnesses

(Ottawa) – On Sunday, August 14, 2016, the Ottawa Police Service attended the scene of a serious collision on Fairgreen Ave and Trim Road, near the Navan Fair at 1:18am.

Two pedestrians who were walking on Fairgreen Avenue were struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene. A 32-year-old male and a 32-year-old female victims were transported to hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service with serious injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colour Dodge RAM or Ford F-Series type of truck with a loud sounding exhaust, with possible front end damage to the driver’s side headlight area.

Collision investigators would like to speak to two female witnesses who were beside the suspect’s vehicle just prior to the early morning collision. The suspect has been described as a young tall male in his twenties, with a slim build wearing a baseball cap.

Investigators are seeking information on the suspect vehicle and driver as well as witnesses prior to the collision and witnesses from the collision.
