On November 7th 2015 at approximately 3:14am, Waterloo Regional Police were called to a collision along Manser Road, Wellesley Township. Upon arrival, police found that a motor vehicle had struck a hydro pole and tree then fled the scene. Police blocked off the highway as the hydro wires were hanging across the street in a dangerous condition. The collision also caused damage to wires attached to a residential home. Waterloo Hydro had to be called out to replace the pole and wire damage. Power to the involved residential home was shut off for several hours until repairs could be completed. The suspect motor vehicle was identified as a Dodge pickup truck. The truck sustained serious damage to the front passenger side bumper, hood and door. Investigation into the collision continues. Several thousand dollars damage was caused as a result of the collision. Waterloo Regional Police are asking the public for assistance in this matter.
